God is Sovereign! If he can take somebody like you or me and change them, he can take anybody in your life and change him as well. But be aware; you are not responsible for causing a person?s heart to turn towards God. Jesus said,
"No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him" John 6:44 (KJV)
God has called each of us to share our faith, in obedience. He has called each of us to evangelize. If one of your excuses for not sharing your faith is, “I don’t have the gift of evangelism,” than you need to examine Scripture. You will find the command of the Great Commission: to evangelize, to encourage evangelism, and to urge evangelism.
And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen." Matt 28:18-20 (KJV)
Sharing Jesus is not a solo sport; it is a partnership- with Christ. The essential ingredients for a true partnership are trust and commitment. You must witness with trust in the power of God. You must also be committed to do your part. Many Christians tend to be spectators who admire the efforts of those who proclaim the gospel and witness.
There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. Joshua 1:5 (KJV)
